(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Bluejackets suffered a third straight loss, this time falling to the visiting Providence Pioneers, 56-0.
In the season opener Mitchell was battered by Brownstown Central and suffered their second loss on the road at Paoli against the Rams.
Injuries continued to plague the Bluejackets who lost Mitchell starting quarterback Andrew Ritchison to a week two ankle injury against the Paoli Rams. This Friday the Bluejackets injuries included center Ezra Beasley who suffered a knee injury on the field.
The fourth quarter was highlighted by Mitchell head coach Todd Tanksley pulling his varsity starters and placing members of the junior varsity squad on the field for some game time experience.
With the loss the Bluejackets move to 0-3 on the season and look to bounce back on the road this Friday when they travel to Springs Valley to face the Blackhawks.
