(WEST LAFAYETTE) - The Purdue Boilermakers won a nail-biter over the Central Michigan Chippewas 32-25.
The game was close throughout, but the Chippewas would take the lead late in the game on a touchdown and two-point conversion.
On the Boilers' ensuing possession, on the very first play Kory Sheets took the ball up the middle and scampered to the outside for a 46-yard touchdown run with one minute remaining.
Dwight McLean would make the game-saving interception on the ensuing drive from Central Michigan to ice the game.
Sheets led the Boilers on the ground with 17 carries for 91 yards, while Curtis Painter completed 27 of 36 pass attempts for 261 yards with a touchdown and one interception.
