(BEDFORD) - The Bedford North Lawrence Stars held Homecoming Friday Night at Stars Field, and the football Stars gave the crowd something to cheer about.
The Stars racked up 464 yards of total offense as they ran past the Seymour Owls 49-28.
Seymour got on the board first when Brandon Polbito caught a 23 yard touchdown pass from Chad Moore.
BNL wasted little time as less than one minute later Junior Quarterback Jacob Perry found Andy Webb with a 52 yard touchdown pass to even the score after the first quarter.
The Stars offense was unstoppable in the second quarter finding pay dirt 4 times on the ground in the frame.
Kam Korvela scored from 6 yards out with 10:29 left in the half, and Perry found the end zone from 4 yards out with 7:46 left to give the Stars a 21-7 lead.
Polbito then scored from 2 yards out to bring Seymour to within 7, with 6:08 to go.
Dairen Jean then scampered in from 20 yards out with 4:17 left, and Jacob Perry scored for the second time in the quarter from 42 yards with 2:41 to go in the half.
The game was pretty well over at halftime with BNL up 35-14. The Stars would add two more scores in the second half as Logan Brown ran in from 36 yards out, and Tyson Robbins caught a 58 yard pass form Perry.
Erik Moorman was a perfect 7 for 7 on extra point attempts.
Perry finished the game with 261 passing yards and 71 rushing yards to go along with 2 rushing and 2 passing touchdowns.
The Stars (3-2) travel to Jennings County (0-5) Friday Night, while the Owls (2-3) travel to Brownstown Central (3-1)
