(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts were back at practice Wednesday as they began preparing for Sunday’s game with the Texans in Houston.
The Colts are off to a 1-and-2 start, uncharacteristic for a team that had not lost a game in the month of September since their opener in 2004. The Texans are 0-and-3, which has been characteristic of a team that is now in its seventh season in the NFL.
The horseshoes have won eleven of their twelve previous games against the Texans.
Having last week off appears to have done wonders for the Colts' injury report. Four players sat out practice on Wednesday with Bob Sanders the most notable. The 2007 defensive player of the year is out following arthroscopic knee surgery.
Offensive lineman Dan Federkeil missed practice with a shoulder injury while wide receiver roy hall sat with a knee injury.
Defensive end Robert Mathis also missed practice. The Colts list him on their injury report as being rested.
