(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will take today off and return to the practice field on Wednesday.
The team had a light workout on Monday and reviewed Sunday's improbable 31-27 win over the Houston Texans. The Colts trailed 27-10 late in the fourth quarter before rallying for three touchdowns in a two minute, ten second span to even their record at 2-and-2.
While Head Coach Tony Dungy was happy to pull off the come-from-behind win, the coach is concerned about the Colts' inconsistent play this season. Dungy commented that the Colts played well for the first ten minutes of the first quarter and the final four minutes of the fourth quarter while not doing much in between.
Inconsistent play on offense has been a concern all season as quarterback Peyton Manning missed all of training camp and the preseason following knee surgery. The offensive line has also been a problem as injuries have forced the horseshoes into three different starting lineups up front in their first four games.
The Colts are looking for their first win ever at Lucas Oil Stadium when they host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Indianapolis has lost both home preseason games and their first two regular season home games in the new $700-million dollar stadium.
