(INDIANAPOLIS) - Fans are reacting to the news of Helio Castroneves’ arrest on tax evasion charges.
The two-time Indy 500 champ and "Dancing With The Stars" champ Helio Castroneves made his first court appearance on tax fraud charges Friday. Castroneves pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Miami.
While most said Castroneves should pay his taxes, others said they hoped the allegations weren't true. Some also said Castroneves could help the struggling US economy in his own way by forking over the money.
Castroneves allegedly used a fraudulent offshore corporation to avoid paying income taxes on $5-million dollars of income from Penske Racing between 2000 and 2002.
Katiucia Castroneves, his sister, and attorney Alan Miller are also charged.
