(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - David West scored 26 points to lead the New Orleans Hornets past the Indiana Pacers 101-96 in a preseason game.
Chris Paul added 23 points and 15 assists as the Hornets remain unbeaten in exhibition play at 6-and-0.
The game was close throughout with the Pacers taking a one-point lead at 96-95 on a Rasho Nesterovic layup with just under two minutes remaining. Indiana would not score again as the Hornets took the lead for good on a Tyson Chandler basket with 1:32 left.
Danny Granger led Indiana with 20 points with TJ Ford adding 14 as the Pacers fall to 3-and-4. Indiana wraps up the preseason Thursday night when they face the Mavericks in Dallas.
The Pacers open the regular season one week from tonight when they face the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
