(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis attorney Fred Glass is expected to be named Indiana University’s new athletic director at a news conference this morning.
Radio station 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis reported Monday that Glass has been selected to replace Rick Greenspan as the head of the IU athletic department. Greenspan announced on June 26th that he would leave his position at the end of the year.
Glass is the former president of the Marion County Capital Improvement Board, which owns and operates the Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, Conseco Fieldhouse and Victory Field in Indianapolis. He was the president of the committee that failed in its bid to bring the 2011 Super Bowl to Indianapolis.
