(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers will only get a partial look at their new lineup Wednesday night when they face the New Orleans Hornets in their first preseason game of the year.
Two projected starters, Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy, will miss tomorrow night's game at the Pepsi Coliseum.
Dunleavy has missed much of training camp with tendonitis in his right knee while Murphy has been hampered by a sore achilles.
Head Coach Jim O'Brien has not announced who will replace Dunleavy and Murphy in the starting lineup, but veterans Marquis Daniels and Austin Croshere are possibilities.
Daniels is finally healthy following two injury-plagued seasons with the Pacers. Daniels came to Indiana in the trade that sent Croshere to Dallas.
Croshere returns to Indiana fighting for a roster spot following a season at Golden State where he spent much of his time trying to get off the bench. The eleven-year veteran has been impressive in training camp as he faces an uphill battle to make the roster because his contract is not guaranteed.
Backup guard Travis Diener is also out for tomorrow's game as his left foot has bothered him since offseason surgery to remove bone Spurs. Diener is expected to miss the entire preseason.
