(WEST LAFAYETTE) - Purdue backup quarterback Joey Elliott could miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
Head Coach Joe Tiller said that Elliott suffered a separated shoulder in Saturday's loss at Northwestern. Tiller says it is likely that Elliott's injury will require surgery.
Elliott saw action in the fourth quarter of the boilermakers' loss to Penn State and replaced starter Curtis Painter in the second quarter of last Saturday's game with the Wildcats when he was injured.
Redshirt freshman Justin Siller will move back to quarterback after spending the season at running back to serve as Painter's backup.
