(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Indiana has long been known as the home of top-notch basketball, but usually that reputation comes from the north side of the city where the IU Assembly Hall stands.
And though that may still be the case, the season for the Hoosiers is still beginning, the south side of Bloomington appears to be adding to that reputation, in the form of the Bloomington South High School Panthers.
The Panthers, just yesterday, were rated by USA Today as the #19 high school team in the nation, and third in the Midwest behind Detroit's Country Day High School, and Chicago basketball powerhouse Whitney Young.
The top reason for USA Today's pick appear to be Jordan Hulls, who will trade in his purple and white jersey next year, for one with a little more cream and crimson on it.
