(WEST LAFAYETTE) - The Purdue Boilermakers won in a thriller over the Michigan Wolverines by a score of 48-42.
The Boilermakers took the lead with just 26 seconds left on a completed pass from Justin Siller to Greg Orton that was then flipped to Desmond Tardy and returned 28 yards for the game-winning score.
Siller completed 21 of his 34 pass attempts for 266 yards and three touchdowns.
Kory Sheets carried the ball 30 times for 118 yards, including another 43 in the air and had three touchdowns of his own.
As for the Wolverines, they were led by running back Brandon Minor, who carried the ball 24 times for 155 yards and three touchdowns.
With the victory, the Boilers snap a five-game losing streak, and improve to 3-and-6 overall.
While the Wolverines fall to 2-and-7, and are assured their first losing season since 1967.
