Dungy: Colts Still In The Playoff Hunt

Last updated on Tuesday, November 4, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy held his weekly news conference on Monday, saying the horseshoes are still in the hunt for a playoff berth in the jumbled mess that is the AFC.

The Colts are 4-and-4 following their 18-15 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday night.

While Indianapolis is four games behind the division-leading and undefeated Tennessee Titans in the AFC South, they are in the heart of a pack of nine teams in the conference with four or more victories. The Colts face one of those teams on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh when they take on the Steelers.

Colts Injury Report

Dungy believes the Colts came out of Sunday night's game with no new injuries. Dungy is hopeful that linebacker Freddy Keiaho will play this Sunday in Pittsburgh. Keiaho missed the New England game with a knee injury. Keiaho said he probably could have played against the Patriots.

Dungy was less confident about starting cornerback Kelvin Hayden. Hayden was set to comeback from a knee injury against New England but injured a hamstring in practice last week.

The Colts played last Sunday without both starting cornerbacks last Sunday. Marlin Jackson was also hurt in practice last week and was placed on IR with a season-ending knee injury.
