(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The IHSAA football state finals get underway this afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Today's schedule begins with the Class-A game between three-time defending champion Sheridan and top-ranked Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter. Sheridan is 13-and-1 while Ritter is 14-and-0.
Game two is the Class 2A matchup between fourth-ranked Cass and number-five Heritage Christian. Both teams enter today's championship game with 13-and-1 records.
The title games in the remaining three classes will take place on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The 3A game pits sixth-ranked Bellmont and number-five Evansville Memorial. Bellmont is 13-and-1 while Memorial is 12-and-2.
The Class 4A game has third-ranked Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger taking on number-five Indianapolis Cathedral. Cathedral is going for its second state championship in the past three years. Dwenger enters the championship game a perfect 14-and-0.
The tournament concludes on Saturday night with defending 5A champion Carmel facing number-one Center Grove. Both teams enter the championship game with 13-and-1 records.
