(MUNCIE, IN) - Stan Parrish was named the new head football coach at Ball State University on Thursday.
Parrish succeeds Brady Hoke, who resigned Monday to take over as head coach at San Diego State. Parrish has been the offensive coordinator for the Cardinals under Hoke and has been at Ball State since 2005.
Ball State's offense ranks eleventh nationally in total offense and sixth in passing efficiency. Parrish's offense help key Ball State's 12-and-1 season that saw them run the table and achieve the school's first top-25 national ranking before being upset by Buffalo in the MAC championship game on December 5th.
He has previously served as a head coach at Wabash, Marshall and Kansas State, compiling a 57-41-and-3 record. The Cardinals face the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the GMAC Bowl on January 6th.
