(MUNCIE, IN) - Robbie Hummel scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the 17th-ranked Purdue Boilermakers past the Ball State Cardinals 68-39 in Muncie.
Hummel had a strong effort after missing last Saturday's win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff with back spasms. Jajuan Johnson finished with twelve points with E'Twaun Moore and Nemanja Calasan adding ten points apiece as the boilers improve to 7-and-2.
Anthony Newell led Ball State with eleven points and eight boards as the Cardinals shot just 26-percent from the field in falling to 4-and-4.
Purdue hosts Indiana State on Saturday while the Cardinals are also home on Saturday to take on Eastern Kentucky.
