(UNDATED) - Multiple sources are reporting that Ball State football coach Brady Hoke will become the next football coach at San Diego State University.
The Muncie Star Press quotes an anonymous source as saying that it is "a done deal" and other media outlets, including ESPN's website, have reported Hoke's hiring at San Diego State. There has been no comment from San Diego State, ball state or Hoke and his representatives.
Hoke was in Muncie Sunday for the football team's annual year-end banquet, but made no comments on the reports. San Diego State has not scheduled a news conference although sources tell the Muncie newspaper that an announcement could come today or tomorrow.
Hoke would replace Chuck Long as head coach of the Aztecs. Long was fired on November 22nd.
Ball State went 12-and-1 this season and still have a bowl game to play as they will face Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl on January 6th.
