(WASHINGTON, DC) - The Indiana Pacers try to snap a season-high six-game losing streak tonight as they face the Washington Wizards.
The Pacers are 7-and-16 and have dropped all three of their games on their current road trip which comes to an end tonight in the nation's capital.
The latest setback came in Milwaukee on Saturday night when the Pacers led by one with 4:40 remaining and never scored again. The Bucks ended the game with a 19-0 run to pull out a 121-103 win.
TJ Ford led the way with a season-high 27 points, but it was not enough as the blue-and-gold fall to 1-and-5 against teams with sub-.500 records. They face another sub-.500 team in the Wizards, who are 4-and-17 and have dropped their last two games.
The record is the worst in the eastern conference and third-worst in the NBA behind only Oklahoma City and Minnesota.
Like both the Thunder and the Timberwolves, the Wizards have already fired their coach this season. Eddie Jordan was shown the door three weeks ago with Ed Tapscott taking over on an interim basis. Washington is 3-and-7 under Tapscott.
