(UNDATED) - Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night to discuss his recent retirement.
Dungy told Letterman that it sank in that he's no longer in football when he arrived at the Colts complex and saw another car parked in the parking spot he had for 7 years.
Dungy says it would have been nice to end the season with a super bowl in the city where he began as a head coach, but that god had a different plan.
Dungy says he will not just take time off and return to coaching, he says he wants to do "hands on" work with children in his retirement.
