(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham says no charges are pending regarding a shooting involving Colts receiver Marvin Harrison that occurred last April.
Abraham did not rule out charging Harrison at a future date, but said that investigators have been unable to determine who pulled the trigger during the April 29th shooting in North Philadelphia. A gun owned by Harrison was used in the shooting.
Abraham said during a Tuesday morning news conference in Philadelphia that the investigation has stalled due to witnesses giving conflicting accounts of what happened.
Harrison is currently being sued by one of the victims, Dwight Dixon, and Abraham says any information that comes out in the civil suit could be used to further the criminal investigation.
Colts President Bill Polian issued a statement saying that they are pleased with Tuesday's developments and defer to District Attorney Abraham's ability to weigh the evidence.
Police investigators reportedly have determined that six shell casings found at the scene of the shooting came from a rare handgun owned by Harrison. Under Pennsylvania law, Harrison could face a felony charge for owning a gun used in the commission of a crime.
