(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers are back in action tonight as they face the Houston Rockets at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Pacers have lost their last two games, dropping a 103-100 decision in New Orleans Monday on Chris Paul's buzzer-beating three-pointer and then looking unimpressive in a 99-81 setback at San Antonio on Tuesday night.
Tonight's game is the first of a stretch where the blue-and-gold will play five of their next six at the Fieldhouse. Indiana is 15-and-27 overall and has the second-worst record in the eastern conference.
The Rockets enter Friday night's game riding a three-game winning streak. Their latest victory came on Wednesday night as they beat the Utah Jazz 108-99 to improve to 27-and-16 on the season.
The Rockets have been winning despite missing two of their stars. Tracy McGrady is out with a sore knee and Ron Artest missed his sixth-straight game with an ankle injury. Artest could return on Friday.
The Pacers are banged up at center. Rookie Roy Hibbert suffered a mild concussion during practice on Wednesday while veteran Jeff Foster suffered a sprained right shoulder in Tuesday's loss to the Spurs. Neither injury is believed to be serious and both could be available tonight against Houston.
