(LOS ANGELES, CA) - The Indiana Pacers’ western trip continues tonight in Los Angeles as the blue-and-gold takes on the defending Western Conference Champion Lakers.
The Pacers are coming off a 113-110 victory in Phoenix in which Danny Granger hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give Indiana the win.
Indiana welcomed Mike Dunleavy back to the lineup on Wednesday. Dunleavy had missed the entire regular season with tendonitis and bone spurs in his right knee. The team is expected to limit his minutes as he rounds into basketball shape. Dunleavy scored 14 points in 21 minutes against the Suns.
The Pacers enter tonight's game at 13-and-22 and have won three of their last four. The Lakers are tied with Cleveland for the best record in the NBA at 28-and-6. They have won seven of their last eight with the lone defeat during that stretch coming on Tuesday when they lost at home to the New Orleans Hornets.
The Lakers are led by perennial all-star guard Kobe Bryant. Bryant currently ranks third in the league in scoring at just under 27 points per game. Indiana's Danny Granger is fifth at 25-point-eight points per contest.
