(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - The Indiana Pacers are spending the holiday in New Orleans where they will face the Hornets this afternoon.
The Pacers have won two straight thanks to home victories over Detroit and Toronto. They have lost their last three in a row away from Conseco Fieldhouse and enter the game with a 15-and-25 record.
Danny Granger ranks fourth in the NBA in scoring at 26.3 points per game. Granger has received some help recently with the return of Mike Dunleavy to the Indiana lineup. Dunleavy has averaged 16.7 points in the six games since his return from a knee injury.
The Hornets are 24-and-13 and are a game behind southwest division leader San Antonio. New Orleans is coming off a win at Detroit on Saturday night. The Hornets are back home after playing seven of their last nine games on the road.
New Orleans is led by the one-two punch of Chris Paul and David West. Paul averages 20-.8 points and eleven assists per game while West is averaging 20 points and seven rebounds per contest.
The Hornets won their earlier meeting with the Pacers, defeating Indiana 105-103 on December 28th at the Fieldhouse. Granger scored 34 points in that game, including 15 in the fourth quarter as the Pacers failed to hold onto a late lead.
