(MUNCIE) - The Ball State Cardinals are all alone in first place in the Mid-American Conference west division thanks to a 53-44 win over Central Michigan at Worthen Arena in Muncie.
Brandon Lampley led a balanced Ball State attack with 11 points with Jarrod Jones and Maurice Hubbard adding nine points apiece. Robbie Harman scored 23 of the Chippewas' 44 points to lead all scorers as Central Michigan sees a two-game winning streak halted. CMU falls to 9-17, 5-8 in the MAC.
The Cardinals improve to 13-13, 7-6 in conference play. Ball State's win combined with Western Michigan's loss at Northern Illinois last night gives the Cardinals a one-game lead over the Broncos for the West Division lead.
Ball State hosts Northern Illinois on Saturday.
