(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts and three-time Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday agreed to terms on a new three-year contract on the eve of the NFL’s free agent signing period.
Final details of the deal are not available, but it is believed that Saturday will be one of the highest-paid centers in the NFL.
Barring any unreported deals before this morning's 12:01 deadline, it appears that seven Colts will be testing the NFL's free agent waters.
Running Back Dominic Rhodes, punter Hunter Smith, linebacker Tyjuan Hagler, defensive linemen Josh Thomas and Darrell Reid, cornerback Keiwan Ratliff and safety Matt Giordano are now unrestricted free agents free to sign with any team.
The Colts and the other 31 teams will have a little more money to work with during the signing period as NFL.com reports that the salary cap will be 127-million dollars instead of the anticipated 123-million.
