(HOMESTEAD, FL) - The IndyCar Series is at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the season’s first open test today and Wednesday.
There will be two practice sessions today - one in the late afternoon and one at night. There will also be an afternoon and an evening practice tomorrow.
Scott Dixon returns as the defending series champion.
Nineteen different car-driver combinations are scheduled to participate as teams prepare for the season-opening race through the streets of St. Petersburg on April 5th. Among those scheduled to test today are veterans Dan Wheldon, Danica Patrick, Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Marco Andretti and Graham Rahal.
