(CINCINNATI, OHIO) - Indianapolis Arlington product Deonta Vaughn scored 34 points, and Larry Davis added a career high 21, as host Cincinnati (15-8, 5-5 Big East) handed reeling Notre Dame their sixth straight loss.
The Irish, who matched their worst losing skid since 1994, tied the bearcats 37-37 at the half, only before Cincinnati went on a 27-9 run to start the second half.
Notre dame entered the contest having lost to 5 straight ranked teams. It was the first time the Irish had ever faced 5 consecutive ranked opponents.
Luke Harongody posted another double-double, finishing with 28 points and 14 rebounds.
