(GREEN BAY, WI) - The Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix took advantage of #16 Butler on turnovers and used a 22-10 run in the second half to knock off the #11 Bulldogs, 75-66 on Monday.
The loss was the first in the conference for Butler (19-2, 10-1) who were trying to set a Horizon League record with their 22nd straight conference win. The Bulldogs had tied the mark of 21 straight, set by UWGB from 1995-1997.
Ryan Tillema led the Phoenix with 21 points. Freshman Gordon Hayward had a game high 22 and sophomore Matt Howard added 14 for the Bulldogs who saw their 11 game win streak snapped.
Butler is at Detroit Thursday.
