(GLENDALE, AZ) - Purdue’s season came to an end last night as they fell to #1 seed Connecticut 72-60 in a west regional semifinal game at Glendale, Arizona.
The Boilermakers had no answer for UConn center Hasheem Thabeet, who finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Craig Austrie led the Huskies with 17 points with AJ Price finishing with 15 points and Stanley Robinson adding ten points and eleven boards.
Robbie Hummel led Purdue with 17 points, but Hummel was held to two points over the final 23 minutes of the game. Jajuan Johnson added 13 points as the Boilermakers finish the season at 27-10.
Connecticut improves to 30-4 and will face Missouri in Saturday's west regional final.
