(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Jori Davis scored 22 points to lead the Indiana Hoosiers to a 68-50 win over Michigan in the first round of the Big Ten women’s basketball tournament in Indianapolis.
Amber Jackson and Kim Roberson added 15 points apiece to set up a quarterfinal matchup between the Hoosiers and archrival Purdue this afternoon.
Krista Phillips led the Wolverines with 13 points with Carly Benson adding eleven as the Wolverines end their season at 10-and-20.
IU improves to 19-and-9 heading into this afternoon's game with the third-seeded Boilermakers. Purdue enters the tournament at 20-and-9. They are coming off a two-point loss at Michigan State that snapped a five-game winning streak.
Purdue and IU met just once during the regular season with the Hoosiers coming out with a 71-57 victory at Assembly Hall on January 19th.
