(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Michigan State Spartans clinched the regular season championship in the Big Ten with a 64-59 win over the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington.
Kalin Lucas led the eighth-ranked Spartans with 15 points with Raymar Morgan adding 14 as Michigan State had a tougher than expected time with the Hoosiers.
Verdell Jones led IU with 15 points with Nick Williams and Malik Story finishing with eleven points apiece and Matt Roth adding ten points.
With the win, Michigan State improves to 24-and-5, 14-and-3 in the conference and clinches the number-one seed in next week's Big Ten tournament.
The Hoosiers fall to 6-and-23, 1-and-16 in the Big Ten. They wrap up the regular season on Sunday at Wisconsin.
