(SOUTH BEND, IN) - The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame advanced to the second round of the NIT with a 70-64 win over Alabama-Birmingham at the Joyce Center.
Luke Harangody led the Irish with 22 points and ten rebounds with Kyle McAlarney adding twelve points.
UAB's Robert Vaden scored a game-high 24 points as the Indianapolis native surpassed the two-thousand point mark for his career in his final college game.
Paul Delaney added 20 points as the Blazers finish their season at 22-and-12.
Notre Dame improves to 19-and-14.
They will host Steve Alford's New Mexico Lobos Thursday night in South Bend.
New Mexico advanced with a win over Nebraska on Tuesday night.
