(SOUTH BEND) - The Notre Dame men’s basketball team will be playing on St. Patrick’s Day.
The Fighting Irish had to settle for an NIT bid as they will host Mike Davis' Alabama-Birmingham Blazers on Tuesday night.
The Irish enter the NIT with an 18-and-14 record after losing to West Virginia in the second round of the Big East Tournament last Wednesday night.
UAB is 22-and-11 and was eliminated from the Conference USA Tournament by Tulsa in the semifinals last Friday.
