(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Hoosiers’ season is mercifully over as IU fell to Penn State 66-51 in the first round of the Big Ten basketball tournament at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Jamelle Cornley led the sixth-seeded Nittany Lions with 22 pionts with Stanley Pringle adding 16 as Penn State improves to 22-and-10.
Indiana's Verdell Jones led all scorers with 23 points, but got little help from his teammates as no other Hoosier scored more than five points.
IU closes out the season with the worst record in school history, finishing at 6-and-25.
