(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK) - The Purdue Boilermakers advanced to the “Elite-Eight” of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament with a 67-61 victory over number-seven seed Rutgers.
Lakisha Freeman led the Boilers with 18 points with Jodi Howell adding 15 points and Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton finishing with 13 points.
Brittany Ray led four Scarlet Knights in double figures with a game-high 19 points as Rutgers ends its season at 21-13. Purdue improves to 25-10.
They will face top-seeded Oklahoma in Tuesday night's Oklahoma City regional final for the right to move on to the final four in St. Louis.
The Sooners advanced with a 70-59 win over fourth-seeded Pittsburgh.
