(INDIANAPOLIS) - Colts linebacker Gary Brackett is one of twelve finalists for the Byron “Whizzer” White Award.
The award will be presented Thursday in Washington, DC by the NFL Players Association and recognizes players for community involvement.
Brackett has been heavily involved in his foundation which provides assistance to families and children affected by cancer as well as giving support to other local charities.
Among the other finalists for the "Whizzer" White Award are former Purdue quarterback Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints and former Colts linebacker David Thornton, who now plays for the Tennessee Titans.
