(ATLANTA, GA) - Matt Diaz hit a two-run single with two out in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Atlanta Braves a 2-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Yadier Molina gave St. Louis the early lead with an RBI single in the first. Kyle Loshe held Atlanta down, allowing no runs and four hits in six innings of work.
Kyle McClellan got into trouble in the eighth, walking three batters in the inning ahead of Diaz' game-winner. Braves starter JoJo Reyes did not figure in the decision.
Reyes allowed a run on three hits over seven innings.
