(CHICAGO, IL) - Mark Buehrle allowed a run on two hits in six and-a-third innings of work as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins 6-1.
Jim Thome hit a two-run home run, his second of the season, with Jermaine Dye adding a solo shot for the Sox, who took two of three from their AL Central rivals in the series.
Delmon Young hit a solo homer off Buerhle in the second inning for Minnesota's lone run of the game.
Buehrle gets the win to improve to 1-0.
