Cardinals Decide They Want To Beat Mets, End 2-Game Skid

(ST. LOUIS, MO) - The St. Louis Cardinals overcame a 4-0 deficit to pull out a 6-4 victory over the New York Mets.

The Mets scored all four of their runs off St. Louis starter Todd Wellemeyer over the first four innings of the game.

The Redbirds tied the game in the bottom of the fifth with Albert Pujols' two-run double the key blow.

Rick Ankiel drove home the go-ahead run with an eighth inning double and later scored on a Ryan Ludwick sacrifice fly.

The Cardinals halted a two-game skid with the win.
