(CLEVELAND, OH) - Cleveland Cavaliers coach Mike Brown has been named the recipient of the Red Auerbach Award as the NBA’s Coach of the Year.
Brown led the Cavaliers to the best record in the NBA during the regular season and was a landslide winner over Houston's Rick Adelman and Orlando's Stan Van Gundy.
The 38-year-old Brown is completing his fourth season as Cleveland's head coach.
He was hired by the cavaliers after spending two seasons as Rick Carlisle's top assistant with the Indiana Pacers.
