(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Colts have waived linebacker Buster Davis.
Davis was claimed off waivers from Detroit last season and played in seven games, starting three when middle linebacker Gary Brackett cracked a bone in his leg against San Diego in late November. Davis' departure leaves the Colts with just seven linebackers on the roster.
Only two of those, Brackett and Clint Session, saw significant time in the Colts' defensive lineup. Two other linebackers who saw significant action last season, Freddy Keiaho and Tyjuan Hagler, are currently free agents.
