(PHOENIX, AZ) - Doug Davis threw seven shutout innings with Chad Tracy and Justin Upton driving in three runs apiece as the Arizona Daimondbacks blanked the Chicago Cubs 10-0.
Tracy put Arizona on the board in the first with a two-run double. Later he hit a solo home run, his second of the season.
Upton helped blow the game open with a three-run double in the D-Backs' five-run seventh.
That was more than enough for Davis, who gave up two hits, struck out seven and walked three in improving to 2-3. Ryan Dempster took the loss for Chicago as he allowed five runs on six hits in six innings of work.
Arizona took two of three in the series.
