(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Fever selected Arizona State point guard Briann January with the sixth overall pick in Thursday’s WNBA draft.
January averaged twelve points and five assists per game. In round two, Indiana took Vanderbilt forward Christina Wirth.
Wirth was taken with the 19th overall pick and averaged almost 17 points for the Commodores.
In the third and final round, the Fever went local, picking Purdue center Danielle Campbell.
The 6-4 Campbell averaged almost nine points and over seven rebounds for a Boilermaker squad that advanced to the elite eight of the NCAA tournament last month.
