(CHICAGO, IL) - Jason Marquis came back to haunt his old teammates as the Colorado Rockies snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Chicago Cubs.
Marquis allowed a run over seven innings to improve to 2-0 as well as doing significant damage with his bat.
He gave Colorado the lead for good in the second with a two-run double off Chicago starter rich harden.
Seth Smith added a solo homer for the Rockies, who avoided getting swept in the two-game series.
Derrek Lee hit his first home run of the season for the Cubs who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
