(CINCINNATI, OH) - Carlos Delgado homered and drove in four runs to lead the New York Mets to a 9-7 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Brian Schneider added a three-run double and Carlos Beltran had a two-run single for the Mets.
Francisco Rodriguez picked up his second save in as many nights, loading the bases before striking out Alex Gonzalez and getting Laynce nix to fly out to center to end the game. Joey Votto hit a three-run home run in a losing effort for the Reds.
New York goes for a three-game series sweep this afternoon.
