(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Kosuke Fukudome celebrated his 32nd birthday in style, leading the Chicago Cubs to a 10-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Fukudome went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and five runs batted in. Micah Hoffpauir, who entered the game in the bottom of the first for derrick lee, hit a solo homer and drove in two for the Cubs, who snapped a four-game losing streak.
Lee left the game with neck spasms. Yadier Molina and Rick Ankiel touched up Cubs starter rich harden for solo home runs as the Redbirds saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.
Harden allowed two runs on four hits while striking out nine over six innings to get the win and improve to 2-1.
