(INDIANAPOLIS) - Bloomington South guard Jordan Hulls is Indiana’s Mister Basketball for 2009.
The Indiana University recruit was the Panthers' leader in scoring, assists and steals while leading Bloomington South to a 26-0 record and the class Four-A state championship.
Hulls easily outdistanced runner-up Bruce Grimm Junior of Rochester in the balloting with Tipton's Derek Elston, another IU recruit, coming in third. Hulls will wear the coveted number-one jersey when the Indiana all-stars take on their Kentucky counterparts this summer.
The Mister Basketball award is presented annually by the Indianapolis Star with the winner being determined by votes from state coaches and media.
