(INDIANAPOLIS) - For the first time since its inception in 1976, the IHSAA girls basketball state finals will not be held in Indianapolis next year.
IHSAA Commissioner Blake Ress tells the Indianapolis Star that schedule conflicts at Indianapolis sports venues has the association searching for a site for the 2010 championship games.
The 2009 title games were held at Lucas Oil Stadium last month and drew a four-class record 21,522 fans.
A conflict with a trade show next March takes the new downtown Indianapolis stadium out of the equation for 2010.
