(MIAMI, FL) - A Miami jury determining the fate of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves and two co-defendants are hung on several counts in the tax evasion and conspiracy case.
The jury has reached a verdict on two of the seven counts against Castroneves and his sister Kati, who served as her brother's business manager.
The jury has reached a full verdict for the third defendant, Michigan motorsports attorney Alan Miller. Federal Judge Donald Graham has sealed those verdicts and instructed the jury to return today for a sixth day of deliberations on four additional counts of tax evasion and the conspiracy charge.
If convicted on all counts, each defendant could receive more than six years in federal prison.
