(INDIANAPOLIS) - NASCAR has extended its two-day Goodyear Tire test to three days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The test was supposed to wrap up Tuesday, but weather delays prompted Goodyear to extend the session into today.
Four Sprint Cup teams representing each of the four manufacturers are testing various tire compounds in the hope of avoiding last year's caution-filled debacle during which NASCAR had to throw "competition yellows" due to excessive tire wear.
